We're excited to see our Rec players take to the courts on Saturday, November 7th, for the first games of the season! Jerseys will be handed out prior to the first games. Be sure to download the NEW TeamSnap ONE app to stay up to date on your player's season schedule and communication from SYB and coaches. SYB REC SEASON DATES: November 7th 2026 – February 10th 2027 Games held on Saturdays (consult TeamSnap ONE for your team’s schedule) Grade 3/4 Divisions season ends Saturday, February 6th with a Round Robin Grades 5/6 and 7/8 Divisions season end Wednesday, February 10th with Playoffs PRACTICES: For BOTH Rec & Travel teams, begin Monday, November 2nd; Consult your TeamSnap ONE app for team-specific practice dates and times. REMINDERS: Please do not drop off your athlete more than 10 minutes early to practice , unless a coach has specifically requested it and will be present. We ask that all players who arrive prior to their gym start time please be respectful of the practice space and stay in the hallway until their scheduled practice time. Please have your child wear sneakers, remove all jewelry, and bring a water bottle with their name on it for all practices and games. Your player will receive a jersey the first weekend of the season. TeamSnap ONE: Teams are now visible on the TeamSnap ONE app; the app serves as our primary vehicle for communication; check your emails for an invitation to join the team and/or download the TeamSnap ONE app to stay up to date throughout the season and communicate directly with your coach and teammates. Note: Some rec teams may see some player/coach movements as we shore up details. Thank you in advance for your flexibility and understanding. Please help us take care of our community space - please pick up after yourselves in the bleachers and encourage your SYB player(s) to clean up their bench area at the end of each session. Please also keep siblings and younger children out of the gym equipment closets . These areas are off limits to all non-SYB personnel; no exceptions. The closets can be dangerous to unsupervised children and it’s important that we not touch or take any non-SYB equipment. Parent/Player Behavior: SYB has a zero-tolerance policy for harassing behavior towards referees, players, or other spectators. SYB strives to provide a safe and balanced learning environment for players of all abilities that develop athletic skills, character, sportsmanship, and teamwork. Remember: the players are kids, the coaches are volunteers, the scorekeepers are teenagers and the officials are human. By registering your child for the Rec season you have signed your agreement with SYB’s Parent Code of Conduct.
