About SYB

Who We Are

Sandwich Youth Basketball (SYB) is an independent non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. We are led by an all volunteer Board of Directors as well as volunteer coaches and coordinators. We continually strive to make SYB a point of pride in the community as the best youth basketball program in the region. SYB is “REC first”: a Town REC league that supports travel basketball.

Programs

SYB runs instructional clinics for 1st/2nd grade players, a recreational in town ‘REC’ league for boys and girls in grades 3 thru 8. For players interested in more competitive basketball, SYB runs travel programs (REC +) for boys and girls in grades 5 thru 8. More information on both the in-town and travel programs are available on their respective tabs above.

Sandwich Youth Basketball (SYB) offers high-quality recreational programs focused on sportsmanship, skill development, and fun. We create a safe, inclusive environment where kids learn and enjoy basketball while building character and confidence, instilling community pride, promoting health and well-being, and fostering a lifelong love for the game.

The Sandwich Youth Basketball Board is a dedicated team of volunteers who share a deep love for the game and a commitment to youth development. Our board members invest their time, skills, and passion to create the best possible basketball experience for the young athletes of Sandwich. Over the years, we have continuously evolved and refined our program to provide a fun, competitive, and enriching environment for all players. Our goal is to make SYB a source of pride in the community and the premier youth basketball program in the region.
